Every human activity poses questions: reflecting on what we’re doing is never wasted time, because the quality of our results is influenced in large part by the answers we are able to provide to those questions. So I present here some personal reflections on my work.
Formulating clear and defined goals is the first step to achieve them, preventing ourselves from proceeding in random directions.
My goal is to build instruments that are worth using to make Music, nothing more and nothing less. Since the material of which music is made is sound and the best is produced by the antique instruments, it is only logical that my building will be strongly inspired and guided by them. Rather than uncritical worship, it is about admiration for the quality achieved by great colleagues of the past.
